IN-LITE IS SIMPLY THE BEST

German landscape architect Davit Arican has made many a dream garden a reality. He likes to incorporate a lot of greenery into his gardens and carefully considers the best locations for different elements like patios and ponds. “What is most important is that the customer feels safe and at home in his or her outdoor space.” Davit believes that lighting absolutely contributes to this. And he enjoys using in-lite products to achieve this. Why? He is happy to explain.

OUTDOOR LIGHTING MUST BEIN PERFECT HARMONY

In recent years, Davit Arican has incorporated in-lite lighting into many outdoor spaces. And for good reason. “Normally, we wouldn’t even consider installing 230V outdoor lighting. We’d leave that work to an electrician. But not with in-lite products. in-lite makes it fun to install lighting! The system is plug & play, so my entire team can install it. Plus, you can easily add extra lighting to the garden later on. It doesn’t get any easier than that!

According to Davit, the totality of an outdoor space must be flawlessly coordinated. He always tries to create a good ambience and in doing so, also makes sure that all of the different elements are in perfect harmony. “The customer needs to feel comfortable in his or her own garden, also after dark. This feeling can only be achieved if the lighting is perfectly balanced. That means that there can be no hard contrasts between the illuminated and dark areas of the garden. You need to incorporate the perfect lighting in the right places. Not too much and not too little. It’s a fun challenge every time to create a flawlessly coordinated outdoor space that delights the homeowners. To ensure this, I can always rely on the expert knowledge of in-lite LAB.''

SWAY makes me smile

Davit and his team work with a large percentage of the in-lite product range, but naturally, he also has his favourite fixtures. “The concept I like using most is the SWAY. In my opinion, it gives off a nice warm, white light and creates a beautiful shadow play. It’s perfect for among border plants. The SWAY makes me smile!”

But to me, the success of a lighting plan really depends on the right use of the SCOPE fixtures – which also offer the advantage of being easy to combine with the other in-lite concepts.

Another concept we use often is the DISC. It’s a more eye-catching fixture and very popular with our customers.

THE HOMEOWNERS WERE EXTREMELY SATISFIED

Last year, Davit and his team designed a garden in Senden, Germany. He incorporated in-lite into the garden, including the SWAY concept and SCOPE fixtures.“This garden is perfect for the SWAY because there are lots of borders and tall grasses. The plants are no taller than 60 centimetres, so the height of the SWAY gave us the opportunity to create a lovely shadow play between the plants. These fixtures are also quite narrow. I like that because they don’t attract attention during the daytime, but have a stunning effect after dark.”

According to Davit, the homeowners are very pleased with their new outdoor space. “That same night, I received a message from the homeowners about how beautiful the lighting was. We had not yet even installed the entire lighting plan because the owner was worried that it would be too much of a good thing. Naturally, you don’t want an overly illuminated garden. But we added the final fixtures later on just to show the customer that the result would not be too intense. When he saw the effect, he didn’t want to remove them again. Everything was in perfect harmony.”
